A few days ago I made myself a promise that I would start streaming by the 15th of March 2025. That's three days from today. I've got all the external things prepared like the webcam, mic and I even got a cheap light so that the webcam doesn't look like shit. Now that all of that is out of the way, the big question till a couple of days ago was, "What to stream?". Turns out, I know what I want to stream. This last Sunday, I was trying to get a tiny OLED display (SSD1306) to be able to work with the Raspberry Pi Pico. I did know at some point I would need a driver to be able to do this. Which I did find, but it was simple enough that I decided I want to be able to write this on my own. So I decided to read the data sheet and figure out how to write the driver. I'm more lost than ever but it feels amazing to be able to write a driver for something. Not something I've ever done. So I'll be taking the next few days to prepare and then I guess I'm good to go on the 15th.
Somehow I feel prepared, the good thing is that I can look at the screen like usual. Been practicing a bit with some small videos to see how everything sounds. I've gotten a lot more used to hearing myself, and I don't think that bothers me too much. The focus is to speak more clearly as I do tend to mumble sometimes.
