Reconnaissance

Just an idea that I just had as I've been working through the temporary frustration from the perceived lack of progress. I've decided to switch perspectives a little bit. Instead of expecting the frustrations to go away, I'm going to go on the offensive. Nothing major, just the smallest of attempts to chip away at this shapeless monster. The goal now is to note down the smallest things that are piling on the frustrations and attack them one atom at a time. Pick the smallest battles that are heavily in my favor, the guaranteed wins. Here is the plan. Hang on, let me put on my slightly larger glasses. Step one is the take notes. So for the rest of the week my goal is take notes on the details of the things that are causing the frustration. It's a reconnaissance mission, no contact whatsoever. I've already got one from this morning.

  1. Streaming for an hour is perceived to be not good enough
  2. Starting the stream at 0500 instead of 0440 or earlier is frustrating for some odd reason, also has an affect on the point above

Turned out to be two, one led to the other.

I'm actually quite liking this. It's a simple shift in perspective. I'm not even doing anything different, just taking notes on the things I'm doing already. It's quite fun. Especially since using the word plan and reconnaissance. I guess I might have accidentally learned an important lesson. A moment of wisdom. Something I knew but never put into practice. All of a sudden I went from enduring the frustration to getting curious about it. What the actual fuck? Is it that easy? Maybe it's beginners luck. Only time will tell though. Also, this list is only valid for a short duration as with each battle I'll need to gather new information as the opponent changes strategies. It's a game really. One playing with and against myself. See where this goes. Exciting.
