It's strange how much I tend to focus on the negative aspects of a scary thing, maybe in the hopes that I can scare myself out of doing it. I'm alway pleasantly surprised by the positives that I never consider. Why spring this out of the blue? Funny you should ask. If you did in fact ask, let's assume you did. Otherwise what is the point of this blog post. Let's not question if the questions are present, or if someone is even questioning these things? What is the point of life anyway? Does anything matter? Okaaaaayyy, now that we are back on point, which was...Yes! The positives of putting myself out there. Out where? Out there, that which is not here. I mean out in the Internets and stuff.
Okay now that the shenanigans are over. I've put a lot of thought into why I don't want to do something that when I actually find something to do and have some experiences I would have otherwise never had, is so surprising. But when it in fact shouldn't be. It's just what happens when you go where the people are. Just today I had a couple of hours of chat with a Scientist on the stream. What the actual fuck? It was a lot of fun, he helped navigate through a lot of problems and talked about some of the projects that would be fun to work on. I think I have an idea of what I want to do next. It's going to be awesome. When it's done. The programming is fun and the end result is even better. I would have never thought I'd be enjoying streaming so much. I'm not on social media at all and I find it very energy draining, also was I tried to enjoy making YouTube videos almost six or seven years ago but I did not enjoy that process either. But live streaming on the other hand, seems to be exactly what I would like to do. It feels a lot more natural for me and I also think it's come at the right time for me, I have something I would like to stream about. I'm getting quite comfortable with programming and don't really mind that people are watching me code. I guess it's also about timing.
Classical music for reading?
Next time you are trying to read a book, give this a try. If you have trouble focusing on what you are reading. Put on some classical music and some headphones. I did last weekend to drown out the music from outside, had one of the most focused reading session I've had in months. It helps if the headphones are noise canceling too.
